The fastest, easiest way to get great pictures that inspire bids is to invest in the right equipment. That generally means a digital camera with all appropriate accessories (cables, software, memory cards, etc.). You can use a film camera and a scanner, but that's not as fast, easy or versatile.

When choosing a digital camera, look for:

A brand name you trust

Image capture of at least 2.0 megapixels

Flash that you can turn off

Macro feature or close-up lens

A USB cable to attach the camera to your computer for easy downloads.

An instruction manual. If you buy a used camera without a manual, check if you can get one from the manufacturer's website.
